MERMAID PARADE

The Coney Island Mermaid Parade is Brooklyn's celebration to officially welcome the Summer Season. I have had the unique opportunity to design parade floats for the event for Luna Park.

Below you can see a peak at the process it starts with establishing a  theme that ties into a larger marketing campaign, creating a mood board and accompanying sketch. Then coordinating with the parade float vendor to make the vision a reality through design and fabrication. Followed by scouting the talent and establishing a look book for costumes to bringing it all together the day of the event.
